  • Decommissioned in 1853
  • Named for Col. George Croghan, War of 1812 hero and later Inspector General of the U. S. Army

  • A non-profit organization operates Fort Croghan Museum and Grounds in order to preserve and present historical items, especially those related to Burnet County.
